Lakshmi Raj started Cucurbita in 2019 when she resigned from her job. She was inspired by a cute bunny ear-headband and was shocked by seeing its price online. Thus she thought of trying to make it once by herself and she went on to do it. She bought the fabric from a boutique near her home and there all it started. After that, she began bulk purchasing and trying out new styles. She made an IG handle and took photographs of the products with her available means. This small store is run by Lakshmi alone, but she has both friends and family supporting this venture. She feels more blessed when she gets some good-hearted clients and by imagining their happy faces☺️
